Why do I love NaNoWriMo? Because tonight I wrote a scene in which Luke Skywalker wore a paper birthday hat, Mara Jade wore a birthday sash and sparkly tiara, and Corran Horn slashed through a wampa pinata with his lightsaber.

And it makes total sense in context of the story.

No, I'm not going crazy. Or AM I?

(23,100 words so far, and I'm not even 1/4 done with the story. Oh my.)

I wrote a kissing scene tonight. Smooooooooooooochies!

I signed up for NaNoWriMo! My name there is JediMara77. Add me as your buddy if you want!

So I've reached the end of my fanfic. It came out to be ~70k words. I'd like to write some additional scenes and flesh it out a bit, but we'll see how that goes. I already have another idea for a long fic, and two other short ones for challenges.

To commemorate the end of my fic, I feel like quoting an appropriate line from the Union comic. I know a lot of people don't like it, but I love it. It's pure fluff and mush that we never get enough of:

"The Jedi teach us that we are luminous beings, creatures of light...
That light shines most brightly in those bound together in love, forever without end."

Take that, stupid no attachments rule! :P :)

I responded that that is the absolute best summary of Luke and Mara's relationship that I've ever read in my entire life.

And I think I just got a plot bunny. LOL.

My other fandom rears its ugly head!!!!

I changed the outline again. And now i have chapter titles!

Also, I find it highly ironic that Jacen Solo has commandeered a major role in this fic.

I don't even like Star Trek, but this is so awesome.

As of September 26 - four full chapters written, parts of three others, for a total of 21,702 words. Two chapters posted, third one going up tonight.

I've been working on my long fanfic. I finished the outline last week and posted the Chapter 1 on Wednesday. So far I have four chapters written for a total of 14,500 words. If only this were November! :P

I'm quite pleased because I thought Chapter 2 was going to be a bitch to write, but I think it came out really well.

I like writing. :D

My outline is done. I started writing tonight. ~2700 words, 7 pages.

Kill me now.

I really like the new Clone Wars cartoon. I was skeptical about it, but I'm really enjoying it.

Day 26: Most heart breaking moment

movies: "You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you." Cue me crying on the floor. :(
EU: Leia’s reaction to the death of Anakin Solo. I didn't think I could be sadder after Anakin died, until I turned to the next chapter. :(

Day 27: Most heroic moment

Darth Vader kills the Emperor

Day 28: Least favorite moment

The death of Mara Jade Skywalker. Poorly done and part of a rehashed, dumb storyline. The EU sorely misses her.

Day 29: How would you introduce a new comer to Star Wars

Have them sit back, relax, and watch A New Hope.

Day 30: What would you like to see regarding the future of Star Wars

I still want an X-Wing TV series! For books, I'd like to see them go back and explore the six years between Vision of the Future and New Jedi Order, and the five years between NJO and the Dark Nest Trilogy. I would also like them to wipe clean everything post-NJO and do a reboot, but I think I'll just stick to fanfiction for that wish. ;)

EEEEE!!!! According to Mandy at theforce.net, there will be a Mara Jade shirt from Her Universe coming out for Spring or Summer. YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really want to go to Lake Como and Seville, Spain because they shot some Naboo scenes there. So beautiful.
