More Celebration III giddiness!

Not only do I get to meet cool Star Wars actors, but I also get to meet cool Star Wars authors! Among the attending will be:

Aaron Allston (author of the Wraith Squadron series as well as the NJO books Rebel Dream and Rebel Stand)
Troy Denning (author of the amazing novel Tatooine Ghost, which focused on Leia discovering information about Anakin's childhood)
Michael Stackpole (author of I, Jedi, the Rogue Squadron series, and the Dark Tide NJO books-I am definitely getting a picture of him holding my Rogue Squadron patch)

and last, but certainly not least -

TIMOTHY ZAHN!!!!!! (author of Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, The Last Command, Specter of the Past, Vision of the Future, Survivor's Quest and the upcoming Outbound Flight) I am so frickin exited!!! Not only do I get to meet the model who portrayed Mara Jade, but I also get to meet the author who created Mara Jade! Now I have to figure out what book I'll have him sign. :p

Ahhhhh!!!! I want to meet all of those. OK, I could give or take Troy Denning, but Allston, Zahn, and Stackpole are the 3 best Star Wars authors in existance!

I have a copy of "The Emperor's Hand", which has been signed by Tim, Mike, and Shannon, and "Union", signed by Mike and Shannon. And I didn't pay for a single autograph. *evil grin*

I haven't met Troy Denning though. You'll have to tell me how cool he is.

The only problem is that I can pretty much guarantee you'll pay $20 for each signature at Celebration. You'd probably do better to save the money and put it towards Dragon*con, where you'll actually be able to talk to the authors (or take them out to lunch!) and they'll be happy to sign for free. (One of the many things I really disliked about Celebration - it was just too stuffy and oppressed.)

According to JC and Six, who were at C2, the authors don't charge for autographs, only the celebrity guests.

Oh, yay! I didn't know for sure. I just know that aside from the one authors panel I saw, I didn't see any of the authors the entire weekend. I didn't venture over to the autograph area because I couldn't afford it. :-p

Yeah, autographs are expensive, but I like them and I like taking pictures with the guests, so I budgeted a bunch for autographs. And as far as I know, the authors have specific signing times in Del Rey's booth. Yay, I get to meet Timothy Zahn!!!
